Results: 2018 Youth Olympics
Elite BMXers were in Argentina just 10 days ago for the last stop on the 2018 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup Tour, in Santiago del Estero. About 650 miles South, the 2018 Youth Olympic Games were preparing to launch, with BMX events taking place on October 7.
The Summer Youth Olympic Games take place every four years, at the mid-point between the Summer Olympic Games.
In the 2018 Games, 16 nations, two athletes each, raced for the Gold. Those nations were:

Switzerland

The structure at the Youth Olympics is unique in BMX Racing, in that it is a “Mixed” team event. Meaning that each rider accrues points, which are then combined in a total—male and female—to decide the podium.
