Strombergs Wins 2009 NORA Cup Racer

In voting comprised of a jury of his fellow BMX Racing pros, Maris Strombergs added “2009 NORA Cup Racer” to his ever-growing list of BMX Racing titles and accolades. Now awarded by RideBMX Magazine, the NORA (Number One Rider Award) Cup was originally started by BMX Action Magazine in the late 1970s as the Number One Racer Award. It was later changed to “Rider” in order to accommodate freestylers in the early 80s. Years later, after Wiz Pubs folded, the guys at Ride picked up the mantle and continued this very rich tradition in the sport…and for that, they deserve mega props!
